It’s here. The best day of football all year long. After two rounds of intense playoff competition, the Conference Championships will be decided on Sunday in Denver and Seattle, where weather looks to be a non-factor.
Before we turn to the title games, let’s take one last trek through the Divisional Round with some Mostly Average Analysis.
The NFL’s Divisional Round had a lot to live up to after the drama of Wild Card Weekend, but I’d say for the most part, it did its job. There was hard-hitting action, points a’plenty, and windy/wet action.
After waiting in the wings last weekend, the top two seeds in each conference will join the fray, adding their storylines to an already dramatic postseason. Get ready for a word-splosion!
Before this weekend hits and we have to dive deep into the pool that will be the Divisional Round, I had a few lingering thoughts about the four games that occurred last weekend.
Wild Card Weekend fulfilled all of our wildest expectations. The failures and successes of the weekend were on full display as we were treated to four playoff contests, three of which were decided by a three points or less.
